We all want to know the key to success for women in business and there is so much out there we can do, classes we can take, books we can read. What really constitutes a successful woman?
5 Traits of a Successful Woman
1) She chases after her dreams even when it’s out of her comfort zone.
She knows exactly what she wants, even if that changes a little over the years {as we grow, our dreams should get bigger}. Her goals and determination are the drive that pushes her closer to her dreams. Often times this means doing things we are uncomfortable doing. But that doesn’t stop a successful woman. Her goals are too big to let that get in the way. We go into business for something and then down the road are usually confronted with the option to do more and grow bigger. These things light the fire under a successful woman and she conquers.
2) She surrounds herself with likeminded people.
When a successful woman is chasing her dreams, you can bet she has a small crowd of unbelievably supportive people cheering her on. If you find yourself alone in your path to success, search out likeminded people, share your dreams, encourage each other and watch each other reach every goal! Remember, there is enough room for everyone at the top!
3) She follows a routine.
“Both success and failure are largely the result of habit.” Napoleon Hill
I wanted to write this article on the routines of a successful woman, but I felt this all needed to be said first. Successful women don’t flounder, they wake up with purpose, follow their schedule, do the same successful habits each day and they slay!
4} She is continually learning.
A successful woman is too busy being concerned with her goals and dreams and the daily steps she is taking to reach them. She doesn’t have time or energy to be involved in the petty things like gossip and unwarranted drama. Instead she focuses on growing herself, learning, strengthening her mind. Eleanor Roosevelt has a famous quote, “Great minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, small minds discuss people.” Successful women are not small-minded. They are innovators, encouragers and supporters. Constantly improving themselves in the personal development department.
5) She visualizes success and the life she wants.
Famous women throughout history have said that the dream they have about the life they want was so real, they could visualize it – even down to the tiny details. The rags to riches stories are because women knew they were meant for greatness. They visualized the life they deserved and they went for it. Nothing stops them, because when something gets in their way, they can see past it. A great way to do this is by creating a vision board. A good old fashioned cork board is a great resource. Hang it where you can see it every day with cutouts of magazine pictures or quotes, pictures of what your house will look like, what you will wear, the places you will visit, the people you will inspire. It is a reminder to just keep following your dream. You will be successful.
